Abstract

Upon the interaction of copper(II) nitrate with 1,5-bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthalde-hyde)carbohydrazone (H₄L¹), by modifying the solvent system, two coordination compounds were synthesized: the tetranuclear complex [Cu₂(HL¹)(MeOH)₂(NO₃)]₂ (1) and the polymeric structure [Cu₂(HL¹)(HCOO)]ₙ·H₂O (2). The chemical composition and structural features of complexes 1 and 2 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy.
