During the hibernation period in Trebujeni mines 5 species of bats were recorded, Rhinolophus hipposideros was dominant with 33.34%, and in the summer only Myotis daubentoni was registered. In the mines from Mășcăuți during the hibernation period and in summer 6 species were reported, but the structure of the community was different. In winter the dominant species was Eptesicus serotinus (50.79%), and in summer - Plecotus austriacus (71%). Most species are rare, protected at national and international level.
