Abstract
The paper presents data on the diversity of orthoptera by distinctive characters, trophic preferences, ecological requirements, vital form and zoogeographic spread of some urbanized territories of Chisinau municipality. 27 species of orthoptera belonging to 6 families and 21 genres were recorded. Acrididae family is the most numerous - with 11 species or 40.7% of the total number of investigated species.
