Abstract
Values provide essential landmarks in guiding behavior and decision-making. They reflect the beliefs, ideals, and principles that guide human actions, contributing to the formation of culture and the structuring of society. Over time, values have evolved under the influence of social, economic, and cultural changes, determining a permanent negotiation between tradition and modernity. In this context, understanding the typology of values becomes crucial to deciphering the complexity of contemporary social dynamics. Traditional values, often associated with stability, family, religion, and community, coexist today with modern values, centered on autonomy, innovation, progress, and individualism. This coexistence generates both points of convergence and sources of tension, influencing the way in which individuals and communities relate to reality.
