Abstract
This article analyzes the translation of chromatic terms from Romanian into English, highlighting the challenges and solutions associated with this process. The denotative and connotative importance of these terms, as well as their impact on poetic atmosphere, are emphasized. From a didactic perspective, the use of translation is proposed as a method for learning foreign languages, focusing on the development of linguistic and cultural competencies. By analyzing chromatic terms in texts, students can better understand linguistic and cultural nuances, enhancing their interpretative and expressive skills. The article provides practical suggestions for integrating translation into teaching, promoting an iterative learning process.
