Abstract

Dynamics of contemporary life expressed in all fields of activity – social, political, cultural represents a challenge for contemporary educational system. The educational contents should be adapted to the societal changes throughout the world and this fact is possible through development of creative competences of both teachers and students. The creativity represents the complex phenomenon that involves the person’s psychological and motivating potential. The contemporary system of study centred on pupil/ student has a well defined role in the development of intelectual abilities. Teachers try to use new methods, proceedings to make the process of study more enjoyable, to provide an emotive atmosphere of the lesson and increase the students interest for the studied subject. The formative methods of study have priority. They discover and develop such aspects as flexibility of thinking, persistence and perseverance, the ability to solve in an original way an old problem. The formalism should be avoided. So, the study of a language shouldn’t be concentrated on isolated facts, but on living facts of authentic speaking. Encouraging students to think and to create, the teacher will not carry his own opinions and will prefer an impersonal position. The student will be glad to feel free and to use the opportunity to express himself. In conclusion, we can say that the didactic methods that are centred on the development of students’ creativity are based on the brainstorming .
