Abstract
In order to cope with the changes that are taking place in various fields of human activity, it is
necessary to rethink the way in which the trainees assimilate knowledge and develop their competences.
A promising teaching tool that facilitates the assimilation of knowledge is microlearning. This paper
analyzes the causes and sources of this concept, the microlearning particularities as a technique, method
and learning strategy are discussed. In conclusion, the possibilities and benefits of the use of
microlearning in the teaching of university course "Information and Communication Technology" are
discussed.
