Abstract
The article is devoted to the Physics teacher's role in organizing activities of students doing their
creative projects. The complexity of the issue is that it is not just projects of some abstract contents, but
projects, during implementation of which, new technical devices or technologies appear. Special attention
is paid to the students’ problem of choice of the project subject, research methods, doing patent search,
registration of the received results and also a problem of maintaining the right for the intellectual property
of the created product. The article uses the author’s experience with teachers on their advanced training
courses, as part of the jury of the All-Ukrainian open tournaments of young inventors and rationalizers, as
well as the inventor's own experience
