Abstract

The new educational needs of high weight towards young people require focusing on
intellectual effort. At the first stage priority, in this respect, becomes the need for the formation of a
rational personality capable of optimally managing the variety of information flows, of exercising and
strengthening the intellectual capacities with the value of the tools and techniques necessary for the
continuous learning. The study of intellectual education is of particular relevance to primary school
teachers in facilitating the early age pupil's access to self-education not only by simply developing pupils'
ability to learn and comprehend, but by endowing them with the skills and abilities specific to intellectual
work manifested through the flexibility of thinking, improving their own style of information processing,
managing contexts and learning environments, maintaining coordinated intellectual effort, giving
intellectual freedom to decision-making, et
