Abstract
An important role in geometric optics belongs to mirror, lens, optic systems and their
application. The work below reprezents an alternate method of demonstrating the formula of thin lens for
R1≠R2 without using the concept of paraxial light rays on the basis of Fermat’s principle which, in our
opinion, is more accessible from the didactic point of view.
