Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of competence in general and the concept of professional competence of the teacher in particular. Developing professional skills is a continuous process that begins with initial training and continues during the exercise of the profession, through the integration of direct professional experience, as well as through specific training courses carried out both within specialized institutions and through self - improvement. The conducted investigation presents an example of teachers' competences in evaluating student activity.
