Abstract
Medical communication is conceptualized as a social process focused on providing health care services, promoting health and mostly describing the relationship between the two "actors" of the therapeutic activity. The development of a qualitative medical activity might be an illusion without an effective communication. The quality of a doctor-patient dialogue depends on the functionality of establishing the diagnosis, as well as the treatment scheme. Medical care is based on the conjugation of both the knowledge regarding the diseases and the art of establishing interpersonal relationships, namely the art of communication.
