Abstract
The aim of this article is to highlight the need for more interaction with literary texts at tertiary level mainly, emphasizing that a well-chosen text assorted with appropriate teaching strategies alongside other authentic materials found in mainstream coursebooks, is sure to bring numerous linguistic, cultural, interactional benefits to students.
