Abstract
Modern assessment is based on students' "value judgments", on the student's cognitive processes and focused on skills, constituting itself as a process, providing information about school results. In school subjects, competence is objectified, especially through the student's attitude towards himself and towards society. A competency can be assessed through several products, and vice versa: the same product can allow the assessment of several competencies. Competency-based assessment involves assessing students' ability to transfer, to solve concrete problems they face in a new situation.
