Abstract
Motivation is the foundation on which educational success is built. It is an important mental process because it triggers and drives the child's action. All students can be made to learn, if not "everything," as Comenius had dreamed, at least to reach the acceptable standard level of school performance. The idea of mastery-learning has become a goal in the pedagogical world. The development of teachers 'skills to promote effective teaching practices in the classroom, in order to motivate students to achieve school progress, success and school performance is a permanent goal of teachers' work. Their pedagogical intervention can positively influence in the school space the deficit of cognitive or social motivation.
