Abstract

As a result of investigations on algal periphyton communities in Valea Morilor Lake it were found 124 species and varieties of algae belonging to 6 phylums. From the total number of highlighted species, 107 are indicators of the level of water pollution caused by the dissolved organic substances. The largest group is the betamezosaprobic one with 41 species and varieties of algae. Saprobic index values calculated on the indicators species during the 2017-2018 years, varied between 1,95 and 2,14, which characterizes the water as moderately polluted.
