Abstract

 As a result of investigations on algal periphyton communities in the lower reach of the Ichel river it were found 58 species and varieties of clorophyta, belonging to 33 genera, 16 families, 6 orders and 4 classes. More numerous in taxons is the Chlorococcophyceae class with 31 species and varieties, that consists 53,4% from the total number of species of green algae. The classes Ulothrichophyceae and Conjugatophyceae produce during the warm season a biomass of up to 1,5-2,0 kg/m2
