Abstract
As a result of the investigations carried out on periphytonic and planktonic algae communities from the Izvorul Muntelui reservoir lake, 86 species and varieties of algae were identified, from which 22 planktonic, 23 – benthic, 619 – epiphytic, 22 – intermediate forms. In the composition of the algoflora there were found 64 oligohalobe-indifferent and halophobe species, which proves that the water has a low salinity. Regarding the attitude towards the pH of the water, most species indicate higher values than 7,0
