Abstract

The paper presents data on the diversity of Lepidoptera according todistinctive characters, trophic preferences, ecological requirements, zoogeographic spread and species with protection and conservation status in some urbanized territories of Chisinau municipality. 37 species were recorded, belonging to 28 genera from 7 families. Nymphalidae family is the most numerous - with 11 species or 30% of the total number of investigated species.
