Abstract
This article presents the findings of an experimental research on the psychosocial characteristics of students' willpower. Through a descriptive study carried out on 304 subjects, differences were identified across various backgrounds in self-assessment of willpower, volitional self-control index, volitional qualities, and psychosocial factors: subjects' gender (male/female), background (urban/rural), and age group (12-19 years). Specialized literature highlights the significant role of psychosocial factors in the development of willpower, which can vary depending on individual and contextual influences. The authors define willpower as a complex psychological process of superior regulation, stemming from the integrity and unity of personality, involving all psychic functions in a specific phase, and acquiring, thereby, a distinct functionality crucial for self-regulation and self-determination in personal fulfillment.
