Abstract

In this article, we want to identify what are the particularities of medical communication in the relationship with the patient. Medical communication between doctor and patient is an essential element in providing effective and quality medical care. However, this interaction has unique characteristics that influence not only how the information is delivered, but also how the patient understands and accepts the treatment. Thus, doctors must show empathy and respect towards patients, understanding their emotional state and the concerns they may have. An empathetic attitude helps to create an environment of trust, where the patient feels encouraged to share his problems and symptoms.
