Abstract
This study aims to investigate the main paradigms and lines of action within the field of educational counseling, with a particular focus on the methods for preventing and managing negative affectivity among university students. The approach stems from the urgent need to support young people in their emotional adjustment and academic integration, especially in the context of increasingly common challenges such as stress, anxiety, lack of motivation, and identity crises. The paper discusses relevant theoretical frameworks for student counseling, specific characteristics of student affectivity, as well as examples of effective interventions designed to support psycho-emotional balance. The conclusions contribute to the foundation of a conceptual and practical framework for strengthening the role of educational counseling in the contemporary university environment.
