Abstract
The article examines digital education in primary school through a pedagogical experiment focused on introducing an optional subject entitled “Digital Education,” designed in an interdisciplinary manner. The study investigated its impact on the development of digital competences among second- and third-grade students. The intervention integrated content from multiple subject areas and was evaluated using an experimental design with control and experimental groups, employing knowledge tests, practical tasks, and systematic observation. The results show significant improvements in digital competences, practical skills, and responsible attitudes toward technology use, supporting the early inclusion of digital education within the primary school curriculum.
