Abstract

Motivation is an essential mechanism for the success of all the actions that the human being takes. The way in which the individual manages to mobilize his or her internal resources to achieve his / her goals is still at the center of much research. Education cannot be achieved without identifying the incentives that trigger the motivational mechanisms, and this fact is today a problem not only for education in Romania, but throughout the world. Practicing physical exercise is based on the motivation of the individual, who often does not know or ignores the benefits that physical education brings with minimal costs. Young people are much more attracted to static activities, they no longer appreciate relaxation by practicing physical exercises, preferring to surf online, looking for satisfaction in the virtual environment. This lack of interest and non-involvement is starting to raise more and more question marks. In this sense, the mission of the physical education teacher is to rediscover the adolescent universe, to enter there and to find new ways to determine young people to value and capitalize on the opportunities generated by the movement in a high tech world.
