Psychological management of chronic patients

Abstract

In this article we explore how people adapt to chronic illness through cognitive strategies, coping and emotional regulation. Being concerned about the degree of coverage of the field from the point of view of bibliographic references, we considered going through a literature review to be the best and fastest way to be informed about the dynamics of the chosen field. In this regard, we will present an analysis of the MEDLINE and PUBMED databases of the National Library of Medicine. The data obtained were systematized, analyzed and presented in the form of a narrative synthesis.
