Abstract

The article shows the results of floristic investigations on algoflora of the „La Izvor” lake. There were found 196 species and varieties of algae belonging to 6 phyla. The benthic algoflora develops abundantly on various types of substrates, forming a biomass from 10 g/m2 up to 1,5 kg/m2, where chlorophyta, cyanophyta and diatoms predominate. Algae like Euglenophyta, Xanthophyta and Dinophyta are relatively rare encountered in the lake.
