Abstract

The article shows the results of floristic investigations on algoflora of the Riscani Lake. There were found 176 species and varieties of algae belonging to 7 phyla. These species belong to 78 genera, 40 families, 15 orders and 12 classes. The benthic algoflora develops abundantly on various types of substrates, forming a biomass from 50 g/m2 up to 1-2 kg/m2 , where chlorophyta, cyanophyta and diatoms predominate. In general, Riscani lake is characterised by a water pool with an algal vegetation described by an increased saprobic character. The saprobity index, calculated during the year is based on indicator species and amounts to 2,0-2,7.
