Abstract
Conflictology emerged as a distinct scientific discipline in response to the growing need to understand and manage conflicts in an increasingly interconnected and complex world. By integrating knowledge from multiple fields and developing effective methods for prevention and resolution, this discipline plays a crucial role in fostering global peace and stability. As an interdisciplinary science, it applies specific principles and methods to analyze, manage, and resolve conflicts. Through a combination of analysis, negotiation, mediation, and transformation, conflictology helps maintain harmonious relationships in society and prevents the escalation of tensions. Although it has developed gradually, conflictology remains an active field of research, exerting a direct impact on international politics as well as the daily lives of individuals and communities. In this article, we will analyze how this discipline has evolved, from a fragmented approach to conflicts to its recognition as an autonomous field of study and application.
