Abstract
Contemporary teaching methodology is marked by a series of processes generating new educational contexts, problems and functional solutions. One of the major trends is to increase the degree of interdisciplinary interleaving to ensure the possibility of solving complex problems. Human resources are one of the essential factors in promoting these changes, which must be professionally trained in order to respond to this challenge that is evolving in a rather intense dynamic. A pedagogical model based on the methodology of initial training of professional skills in students of chemistry specialties in an interdisciplinary context is proposed. The model is functional and efficient due to the fact that it allows an integrated and multilateral approach to complex phenomena. The methods used, the necessary equipment, as well as the openness to the practical use of the results place this methodology in the STEM conception
