Abstract
The article provides theoretical and practical arguments for opening the position of digital coordinator (ICT) within Moldovan educational institutions. The reasons are based on the experience of European countries in this field, but also on the results of the survey for teachers and managers in educational institutions in the country, vis-à-vis the need for this specialist.
