Abstract

The article pays tribute to Professor Adelina Georgescu, the first President of ROMAI (the Romanian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics), on the 15th anniversary of her passing. She contributed to building lasting connections—both human and professional—between mathematicians and computer scientists on both sides of the Prut River.
